On November 15, 2023, the Stead Center and the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary worship team, guided by the creative liturgical leadership of Dean Karen Mosby, worked together to prepare an Art of Ethics service for and with the seminary community. The worship service is available online as are our worship resources. We’ve created this in such a way that others can lead a similar intergenerational worship service in their context.

We worked hard to make sure the Seminary chapel was transformed into a welcoming and inviting space for children of all ages.Periodically on the worship video you will see the intergenerational art space created as part of the worship space behind the lectern and altar area. This space included prayer pillows, a rug, washable crayons and markers, paper, and the large Art of Ethics logo to be decorated as one of the rituals following the sermon.

The service outline is available by following this link. For more information on the Art of Ethics project, curriculum, or to view our gallery submissions, visit the Art of Ethics page on our website.

The Stead Center owes an additional thank you to Hannah Hadley, a Garrett student, for decolonizing some of the child friendly song lyrics and to Mark Miller for granting us permission to use his song, We Resist.

We hope you will use these resources to host your own Art of Ethics Worship!

Below you will find the full livestream of the the worship service. If you need additional materials such as the logo, please reach out to us directly at stead.center(at)garrett.edu.
